The session are run by our club coaches and are aimed to provide an introduction to the basic paddling skills whilst providing plenty of fun for all involved.

For existing paddlers who are looking to join the club we can arrange an appropriate time for you to attend a club session and be 'skills tested' by one of our coaches.

Bradford and Bingley Canoe Club’s slalom and river races will be held on the 10th & 11th of May, and again on the 27th & 28th of September.

Races are suitable for beginners, and you can use any boat you like.

The programme is:

 - First Slalom Race + River Race - Saturday
 - Second Slalom Race + Team Event – Sunday

You can enter for both days, or just one day.

Entries – We will take entries up to 10am on Saturday and up to 9.30 on Sunday. If you possibly can, please enter on-line at https://www.canoeslalomentries.co.uk/year/2025

Camping – is on site for tents and motor homes - £10 per pitch per night.

Food – hot and cold food and drinks will be available on-site at very reasonable cost.

Parking – there is plenty of parking on site, but we may have to share with people attending other sports. Please, park considerately. We recommend that you do not park close to the cricket boundary. B&BCC will not accept responsibility for any damage to vehicles.

Bradford Clean Air Zone (CAZ) Our event is held outside the Zone but many of the main routes to the site pass through the CAZ. There is now a daily charge to drive in the CAZ if your vehicle does not meet required emission standards and it is not exempt. Charges will not apply to passenger cars, however, charges may apply to vehicles such as mini busses, vans and campervans, particularly if they are older models. Please check: https://www.bradford.gov.uk/breathe-better-bradford/where-is-the-clean-air-zone/where-is-the-clean-air-zone/ to see if CAZ affects you.

Avoiding the Clean Air Zone - If the charge applies to your vehicle, we suggest that you check the map via the above link and devise a route avoiding the Zone.

Please Remember – most vehicles will NOT be charged!

Directions - Sat Nav BD16 1LT.

From Bradford direction - follow the A650. At the roundabout near the Mercure Hotel, take the first exit and continue towards Bingley for about a mile. Wagon Lane is on your right just after the river bridge.
