Coaching

Want to run sessions? Simple.

Coaching is fun and Bradford and Bingley Canoe Club prides itself on paddler progression and safety.

We owe a Duty of Care to our coaches, paddlers and trustees so there's a system to make sure that we deliver on that.

The club runs regular sessions and events. These are advertised on this website on our home page. Where there are juniors involved or adults who are in need of safety cover, there is a person present who is accredited and insured to oversee that the activity is safe and properly run.

Up for being that person from time to time?

Not ready yet for much responsibility but want to help out?

Yep? Then read on ...

How do I start?

Three choices:

1 Feel your way into coaching - it's fun - by just offering to take on a role for part of or all of a session. Talk to the person running the session. If you haven't found your way into a role, already, talk to Mark, Tony or Wendy.

2 Members can get accredited by the club to run sessions within the club for club members. Follow this link

3 Go through British Canoeing's coaching scheme and attain the level you need for the type of coaching you want to do. This will lead to accreditation that enables you to work professionally anywhere in the world. Follow this link
